Privacy
Effective 22 October 2026. This policy covers Whispering Woods: Audio Tales, this website and support correspondence.
The app
Whispering Woods is an audio adventure for iPhone. It does not require a player account, use the microphone or location, contain advertising, or send usage analytics.
With your permission, headphone motion is processed on your iPhone to calibrate listening direction and recognize head gestures. It is not recorded or uploaded. Buttons let you play without motion access.
Progress and language
Story progress, discovered endings and language choice are saved locally. Reset progress in Settings deletes story progress after confirmation, keeping your language and purchase entitlements. Deleting the app removes its local data. iOS backups depend on your system settings; the app has no separate cloud sync.
To choose an initial language, the app reads the App Store country through StoreKit. It uses the iPhone region if that information is unavailable. It saves your language choice, not the country. Change Language in Settings at any time. A chapter without a complete pack in that language stays unavailable.
Recordings and Apple services
Installed story recordings and transcripts are included in the app. Apple manages distribution and system purchase entitlements. The app does not receive payment card details. Apple's services are covered by Apple's privacy policy.
The app has no diagnostic recording tools or exports. Files created by an older version may remain locally after updating; this version does not read or upload them. Reset progress does not remove old diagnostic files or copies you previously shared.
Contact
Publisher and controller of support correspondence: Wojciech Jelen. For support or privacy requests, email whisperingwoodsgame@gmail.com. Email is voluntary. The app does not send it automatically or attach recordings or diagnostics. Your email address and message are received when you choose to contact support.
Wojciech Jelen handles the mailbox to answer questions and resolve support requests. Providing an email address and message is voluntary; without them, an email reply is not possible. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in responding to correspondence and resolving issues, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The app does not make automated decisions or profile you.
Retention and service providers
Support correspondence is kept while a request is open and for 12 months after it is closed, then deleted. Messages needed to resolve a dispute, establish or defend a claim, or meet a legal obligation are kept only for as long as that purpose requires.
The mailbox uses Gmail, provided by Google. Google processes email as part of delivering the service. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards described in Google's privacy policy and its data transfer information. Correspondence is not used for marketing or sold.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction or deletion of your correspondence, restriction of processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Data portability applies where the legal conditions are met. Send a request to the email above. You may also complain to your local supervisory authority; in Poland, contact the President of the Personal Data Protection Office. Local progress can be reset in the app; headphone motion permission can be withdrawn in iOS Settings.
This website
The website is hosted by Vercel. Delivering a page involves technical connection information, such as an IP address and requested URL; see Vercel's privacy notice. The marketing pages load fonts from Google Fonts. These document pages use system fonts and have no analytics or application script. Technical connection information is used to deliver and secure the website, based on the legitimate interest in operating it. Provider-managed technical records follow the provider's retention rules; they are separate from the 12-month support correspondence period. We do not add advertising cookies or usage analytics. Vercel and Google may process connection information outside the EEA under their published safeguards.
